I started my journey in the travel industry back in 1991 when I completed a course on Airlines and Agency Operations at the Travel & Trade Career Institute in Long Beach, CA. After graduating and interviewing at a few travel agencies I was discourage that there was no opportunity for me to grow and was challenged to open up my own agency from the owner at my last interview.  I took his advice and in 1992 started The Traveling Traveler. With a vision and a dream I was able to convince another agent to join me on this business venture. As mentioned in “Our Story”, we started home-based at my parents’ guest house in South Gate, CA, and after a short few months we moved to an office in the South Bay (Hawthorne, CA).  After 15 years being in the South Bay, my agents and I decided to move the office closer to home to Whittier, CA.

In my 25 years in the travel industry I have been very fortunate to travel throughout the world to exotic destinations like Costa Rica, Tahiti and Australia to name a few. I am constantly working on my craft by attending seminars, destination specialist programs, webinars and participating on familiarization trips (travel to the destination to experience it first-hand).  I still get excited planning that first time trip whether it is a couple, group of friends, honeymooners or multi generation travel. In my years in the travel industry I have been able to connect and build relationships with the top tour operators, airlines, hotels and cruise lines which result in a better experience to my clients. I have also been recognize in the last continues 6 years as one of the top 25 producers with Journese Curators of Fine Travel.
